A Year to Remember for Apprentice VDA Aria McTaggart
What a year it has been for our Apprentice Vehicle Damage Assessor, Aria McTaggart, here at Fix Auto Ayr.
After already being named Fix Auto Apprentice of the Year, we’re incredibly proud to announce that Aria has achieved another fantastic milestone – being recognised as one of the Bodyshop Awards 30 Under 30 for 2026.
This is an impressive achievement at any stage of a career, but particularly remarkable given that Aria will have only just turned 18 years old when the awards take place.
A fantastic start to her career
Since beginning her apprenticeship with Fix Auto Ayr, Aria has demonstrated outstanding dedication, professionalism and a real enthusiasm for developing her skills within the accident repair industry.
The role of a Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) is a highly technical one, requiring an in-depth understanding of modern vehicles, repair methods, estimating and ever-evolving vehicle technology.
As part of her development, Aria attends the Thatcham Research Facility for intensive training, embracing the challenges that come with learning such a demanding role at the beginning of her career.
Her commitment has already been recognised across the Fix Auto network, with Aria receiving the Fix Auto Apprentice of the Year award earlier this year.
Recognised among the industry's 30 Under 30
Aria's latest achievement sees her named among the Bodyshop Awards 30 Under 30 for 2026, recognising talented young people who are already making their mark within the automotive repair industry.
At just 18, it is another fantastic recognition of the progress Aria has made and the potential she continues to demonstrate.
Aria continues to grow in confidence, knowledge and experience, and we’re extremely proud to have her as part of the team at Fix Auto Ayr. She is a brilliant example of the next generation of talent coming through our industry and what can be achieved through hard work, determination and a willingness to learn.
